Privacy Disclosure

Effective date: February 26, 2026

This disclosure explains how the SpeedyGo WordPress plugin may handle data when it is installed and used on a website.

This text is intended to help site owners understand the plugin’s privacy impact and may also be adapted for use in a site’s privacy policy.

1. What the plugin does

SpeedyGo is a WordPress performance and caching plugin. Depending on the features enabled, the plugin may optimize website performance through caching and related functionality.

2. Local processing on the website owner’s server

SpeedyGo primarily operates within the WordPress environment where it is installed.

Depending on configuration and usage, the plugin may:

  • create and store cached versions of pages or resources on the website owner’s server
  • temporarily process page output to improve performance
  • store plugin settings in the WordPress database
  • use locally stored data required for plugin operation and performance features

These locally stored cache files or settings remain under the control of the website owner and hosting environment.

3. License activation and update checks

SpeedyGo communicates with our server for product related functions such as:

  • license activation
  • license validation
  • update checks
  • support related service operations

As part of these functions, certain technical or account related information may be transmitted to our server, such as:

  • website URL or domain
  • license related information
  • plugin version
  • WordPress version
  • PHP version
  • other basic technical information reasonably required to validate the license, deliver updates, or provide support

Site owners should review and confirm the exact fields transmitted as part of their final privacy documentation.

4. Support related data

If the site owner uses support features connected to SpeedyGo, information relevant to the support request may be transmitted to us. This may include:

  • contact information
  • license information
  • website or environment information necessary to troubleshoot the issue
  • details voluntarily provided by the site owner in the support request

Site owners should avoid sending unnecessary personal or sensitive data through support messages.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

SpeedyGo may set or read cookies or similar technical data where required for plugin functionality, compatibility, licensing related flows, or performance behavior.

Depending on the feature set and configuration, these may include:

  • essential cookies required for plugin related functionality
  • cookies used to support compatibility or user experience
  • cookies used to ensure correct behavior for cached or optimized content

Because cookie behavior may change depending on enabled features and website setup, site owners should verify the exact cookie names and purposes in their live environment.

6. Personal data and cached content

Caching plugins can, by their nature, store copies of generated content to improve site performance. If a website is configured incorrectly, cached content could potentially include data that should not be cached, such as user specific or sensitive pages.

For that reason, site owners are responsible for:

  • properly configuring cache exclusions
  • excluding login, account, cart, checkout, or other user specific pages where appropriate
  • testing the website after enabling caching features
  • ensuring compliance with applicable privacy laws based on their own website content and configuration

7. Logging

SpeedyGo does not create standalone logs as a core feature at this time, based on the current product setup described to us. If logging is added in the future, this disclosure and the site’s privacy documentation should be updated accordingly.

8. Data sharing

SpeedyGo does not sell personal data.

Data transmitted for licensing, updates, and support is used to operate the plugin and provide related services. Such data may be processed through our hosting, support, and infrastructure providers as necessary to operate the product.

9. Retention

Data related to licensing, updates, customer accounts, and support may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • provide purchased access
  • maintain product functionality
  • deliver updates
  • handle support
  • meet legal, accounting, fraud prevention, or security obligations

10. Site owner responsibility

The site owner is responsible for:

  • reviewing the plugin configuration
  • disclosing plugin related data use in their own privacy policy where required
  • verifying cookie usage on their site
  • ensuring that caching and optimization rules do not expose private or user specific content
